The Goblin Merchant is a shop-simulation game. The player plays as a goblin merchant in a dungeon. The player can purchase commodities or power-ups at the start of each day and put the commodities on the shelves or equip them to increase their power (battle point). Powerups are the options that help players manipulate the game better. They can help players decide what items to put on the shelves, put more items on the shelves or give the player more information. Each day, three customers from two conflict groups will come to the shop and purchase the commodities with how much money they want to pay. The customer can be a robber to rob the shop. If the player doesn’t have enough power to protect their shop, their commodities on the shelves will be robbed relentlessly. The player can choose whether or not to sell their products to the customer. Selling a product to their customers will earn the amount of money the customer wants to pay, trigger specific events and improve the “honor level” of the group the customer belongs to. The honor level is the player’s prestige in two conflict groups. The honor level in one group will influence the offer of price by the customer from that group, and the differences of the honor level in two groups will cause the different endings of the game.
